The Daraga church was built during the 18th century in the town of Daraga, which means Maiden, after the eruption of Mayon Volcano, which sent the Cagsawa Church along with the whole Cagsawa town below ground level. The Daraga Church is situated on top of a hill where it has a commanding view of the Mayon Volcano and the sea. The church, despite the modifications & repair works over its lifetime and the rapid development in the establishments in the town of Daraga, still maintains its original baroque architecture.
