Hello, Tumblr! Long time no post… Here’s something from our Albay, Bicol trip last October…

Barangay Padang was used to be home for at least 500 people back in 2005.
But then, tragedy struck…
When Typhoon Reming hit the Bicol area back in November 2006, flood waters hit this small barangay leaving almost everyone homeless and several people missing.
Currently, Barangay Padang is like a ghost town by the side of Albay’s national highway. The only thing that serves as a reminder of what it used to be is the Memorial that was put up for the lives lost in the typhoon.
